Flotide Heat Pumps

Flotide Pool Heat Pumps at Incredible Prices!

Flotide Heat Pumps are superb swimming pool heating systems: highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and economical to run. They capture heat from the outside air and increase the heat with the aid of a compressor. This in turn heats the swimming pool water circulating through the system and returns the hot water to the pool.

How Swimming Pool Heat Pumps Work

A heat pump is one of the most energy-efficient ways to heat a pool because it does not “generate” heat like a traditional electric heater; it simply moves heat from the air into your water.

  1. Air Capture: The unit’s fan draws in large volumes of outside air across an evaporator coil. Even in cooler weather, this air contains heat energy.
  2. Heat Absorption: Liquid refrigerant within the evaporator coil absorbs this heat from the air and turns into a gas.
  3. Compression: This warm gas is passed through a compressor, which rapidly increases the pressure. This process intensifies the heat, creating a very hot gas.
  4. Heat Transfer: The hot gas flows through a Titanium Heat Exchanger. As your pool water circulates through this exchanger, the heat is transferred from the gas to the water.
  5. The Cycle Continues: The refrigerant cools down, returns to a liquid state, and the cycle begins again.
