What are the running costs?
The most common question that we get asked by customers is: “How much does it cost to run a dehumidifier?” And our answer is: “It costs less with Meaco!”
Meaco have always made our dehumidifiers as efficient as possible to keep costs to a minimum and now with the new Platinum Range of dehumidifiers they have taken this to a whole new level and set a new benchmark for our competitors.
The Meaco 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier uses just 157 watts of electricity – meaning a cost of just 4p per hour (based on a 22.36p/kWh).
Quiet solution for smaller homes
We’ve made this dehumidifier as quiet as possible so that you can use it in smaller homes without disturbing sleep, work or play – and we’ve won a coveted Quiet Mark award to prove it. At just 41dB, it’s unobtrusive and just gets on with helping your home have drier, cleaner air and reducing damp and condensation. The Laundry setting means you can also use it confidently to dry washing quickly indoors.
What am I getting?
This unique range gives you a range of features that allow you to dry your home safely, easily and quietly, resulting in a healthier and more comfortable living environment for you and your family:
- Unique 2-in-1 mode allows you to use this unit as a dehumidifier in Autumn/Winter and as an air purifier in Spring/Summer
- Costs just 4p/hour to run, based on 24.50p/kWh
- Cleans the air with a free HEPA filter to remove allergens
- Unique Meaco control logic saves money and improves performance*
- Digital display to show you the current room reading
- Variable humidistat – you can set relative humidity from 30% to 80% in 5% steps
- Louvre design directs the dry air through a wide angle
- 24-hour off timer
- Child lock facility
Strong carry handle*The unique Meaco control logic means that you get the best balance between saving money and accurate dehumidification. When the target relative humidity has been reached the dehumidifier will switch to fan only mode to check that the relative humidity is stable. It will then go to sleep for 30 minutes at which time it will wake up and run its fan again to check the relative humidity once more. If the relative humidity has risen above the set point, then the dehumidifier will start to operate again. If the relative humidity is OK then the dehumidifier will go back to sleep again for another 30 minutes. This process saves a lot of money on electricity, especially when compared against dehumidifiers which keep their fans running permanently regardless of the level of humidity in the room.
Warranty
The Meaco 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier comes with a two year parts and labour warranty, as well as the option to extend the warranty to five years.
