How to Choose the Right Length
Getting the length right is crucial. If your pool vaccum hose is too short, you will struggle to reach the deep end; if it is too long, it can tangle easily and reduce your pump’s suction power. A simple rule of thumb for choosing the perfect size is to measure the distance from your skimmer to the furthest corner of the pool, add the depth of the deep end, and then include a little extra for slack. We offer lengths from 7.5m all the way up to 15m to suit any setup.

Our high-quality pool vacuum hoses are supplied with standard cuffs built in. These are designed to easily push onto standard vacuum heads at one end and connect securely to your skimmer vacuum plate at the other, creating a tight seal for optimal cleaning power.
How to Prime Your Pool Vacuum Hose
If your pump loses pressure or spits bubbles when you connect your hose, it is likely full of air. To prevent this, you need to ‘prime’ the hose with water before connecting it to the skimmer. Simply push your vacuum head to the bottom of the pool, and hold the other end of the hose over a return jet (where the water flows back into the pool). Once the hose stops bubbling and sinks to the bottom, all the air is out, and you are ready to start vacuuming.
Storage and Care Tips for your Pool Vacuum Hose
To keep your swimming pool vacuum hose lasting as long as it can, it’s best to store it safely. Avoid leaving your hose out in direct, baking sunlight for days on end, as UV rays can eventually make the material brittle. When you have finished cleaning, loosely coil the hose rather than winding it tightly, and store it in a shaded area to prevent splits, kinks and cracks.
