How Pool Pump and Filter Kits Work
The pump and filter are the “heart and lungs” of your swimming pool. The system operates on a continuous cycle:
- Suction & Circulation: The pool pump draws water from the pool through the skimmers and main drain. Its self-priming design and powerful motor ensure a consistent flow rate, which is critical for turning over the entire volume of your pool water multiple times a day.
- Filtration: The water is pushed into the pool filter. Inside the tank, water is forced down through a bed of Glass Filter Media. Unlike traditional sand, the glass media included in our kits (Grade 1 for filtration and Grade 3 as a support layer) carries a slight negative charge that attracts finer particles. It traps dirt, debris, and algae more efficiently than sand and is less prone to clogging.
- Return: The clean water flows back into the pool.

The pumps feature an AISI 316 Stainless Steel mechanical seal, making them compatible with chlorine, bromine, and even saltwater.

Our Pool Pump and Filter Kits Range
We offer three distinct kits tailored to different pool sizes, ensuring you don’t pay for power you don’t need or suffer from a system that is too small.
- Pool Filtration Kit – Small: ideal for smaller domestic pools (ranging from 10ft x 20ft to 15ft x 30ft). This kit includes a 0.5hp Argonaut Pump paired with a 20-inch Endurance Filter and the necessary glass media.
- Pool Filtration Kit – Medium: Designed for mid-sized pools (up to approx. 18ft x 36ft). It steps up the power with a 0.75hp Argonaut Pump and a larger 25-inch Endurance Filter for increased turnover rates.
- Pool Filtration Kit – Large: Our most powerful option for larger domestic pools (up to 20ft x 40ft). It features a robust 1.0hp Argonaut Pump paired with the 25-inch Endurance Filter, providing maximum flow for maintaining pristine water in larger volumes.
