The Monaco SunReel is a stylish fixed reel with a German-manufactured 12V electric motor powered by a solar charged battery. The slim control box is made from 316 stainless steel, vented and IP67 rated (safe for outdoor use), with a large solar collector for trickle charging attached to it. It is operated by 3-way switch and also has a battery charger terminal. The whole control box and solar collector can be rotated to optimum position for the best solar gain. The Monaco SunReel is simple to install with accessible and easy to fit ground fixings.

The SunReel is a floor mounted, solar powered reel. The whole solar pack can be rotated to get the best solar gain in any garden and has become a very popular choice of reel for the end user. The solar pack can also be removed from the reel and mounted elsewhere which makes the Monaco SunReel ideal for indoor pools or those with telescopic pool halls. Please bear in mind if installing the reel inside the building/pool hall, there must be adequate sunlight reaching the solar panel to enable the batteries to be recharged.
A cable link can be supplied for a maximum length of 15m.

The solar pack includes a large solar panel and comes fitted with an on/off press button LED switch on the side of the solar pack. We recommend that when the reel is not being used that the LED button is switched off so that all the solar gain goes into the battery and no charge will be used when the reel is in standby. If installing the solar pack away from the reel, please ensure that the solar pack is within reach so the LED switch can be turned on and off.

Reels are available in 3 different sizes:

Small – for pools 12ft to 15ft wide (approx. 3.6m to 4.5m) wide, and

Large – for pools 15ft to 21ft wide ( 4.5+ to 6.4m) wide.

Ultimate: with 7″ diameter tube for pools up to 23ft  (7m wide) – 55ft  (16.75m) long

  • Battery charger – IP65 rated and safe for outdoor use. You may need to recharge the battery if it’s been used a lot, or there has been little sunlight.
  • Remote controlled fob – Controlling the reel via remote control means the solar pack can be placed away from the reel system in a position best suited to maximum solar gain (e.g. on a wall or on top of the plant room). Ideal for indoor pools. If the fob is lost, the reel can still be operated via the 3-way switch.

We offer made-to-measure connection pieces to connect the cover to the roller.

Monaco SunReel Ultimate

The Ultimate has all the features of the SunReel but with a 7″ diameter telescopic tube.
  • Simple to install with accessible and easy to fit ground fixings
  • For pool sizes: Up to 23’ wide (7.00m) and no more than 55’ long (16.75m)
  • Also recommended for pools with foam heat retention covers.
  • Manufactured in 316 stainless steel
  • Large solar collector
  • Powered by German made 12 volt electric motor
  • Multi position for best solar gain
  • Operated by remote control with key switch back-up
  • Battery charger included
  • As remote controlled, the Monaco SunReel can be used on indoor pools as the Solar Pack can be sited away from the reel system.
