Monaco Reel

The Monaco Reel is a British-made, superb-quality luxury domestic reel system. Our best-selling reel, there are five different models to choose from.

Monaco is also available with a factory-fitted SmartGear – a unique 3-to-1 reduction gearbox which really does make light work of winding a cover off a pool. The SmartGear can also be retrofitted to the Monaco Standard and Monaco Deluxe models at a later date. Monaco reels can be floor or wall-mounted and castors can be added to make the reel mobile.

The Monaco Reels are now in their 14th year of production and are often the reel of choice for customers wanting to upgrade from their old reels. They have high quality engineering for every component part of the reel. The reels now come with two stainless safety bars as a safety feature which means the reel cannot fall or jump out of the yoke if the reel is being moved. They are already fitted to the top of the yoke so simply remove if not required.
The stands are pre-drilled so that castors or deck anchors can be fitted at a later stage.

The following features are standard on all Monaco domestic reels:

• 4” anodised aluminium, grooved telescopic tube for optimum strength
• stands made from 1¾” stainless steel for extra stability
• unique yoke, strong and robust enough to withstand most knocks without breaking
• stainless yoke safety bar
• coaster bearings in the yoke to make winding on covers even easier
• adjustable feet to adjust for uneven paving
• one of the steering wheels is fitted with an ergonomical knob which makes it easier to turn the wheel
• a brake to lock the reel in place when the cover has been fully wound on to it.
• each reel comes with 9 reel to cover straps. The long straps are fitted to the reel tube and just need to be moved into position. The short straps and fixings are found in the stand box.

PLEASE NOTE: The Monaco range of reels are top of the range and they have been designed for pools from 12’ wide. However, for smaller pools the tube can easily be cut down on site, or custom made in the factory. There will be no pro rata price decrease

The castors are 3”, swivel braked, made from polypropylene so won’t rust.

• Small (Pools 12′ – 15′ / 3.6m – 4.5m wide)
• Large (Pools over 15′ – 21′ / 4.5m – 6.40m wide)
• Premier Ultimate (pools up to 23′ / 7m wide – 55′ / 16.75m long)

Monaco Reel Models

• The Monaco Standard has all the benefits of the other models, the only difference being the 3-spoke steering wheel.  
• The Monaco Standard X is the same as the Standard but with a factory fitted SmartGear.
• The Monaco Deluxe comes with a deluxe 5-spoke steering wheel.
• The Monaco Premier is the Deluxe but comes with a SmartGear factory fitted.
• The Monaco Premier Ultimate as above but with a 7″ diameter tube for pools up to 23′ wide and up to 55′ long. When ordering please give us the pool size (width and length) as, although it is telescopic, it will be made to the correct length required. Please call us for the Premier Ultimate Reel price.
