Winterlong is a slow-release, highly economical winteriser. One single 1ltr dose is sufficient to control algae for between 3-6 months. In a 50 cubic meter (11,000gal) pool.

Use Winterlong as directed to control most types of algae over the winter period. Winterlong is pH sensitive and should only be used on pool water maintained within a pH range of 7.2 -7.6.

Do not add chlorine within 24 hours of using this product or dose this product within 24 hours of adding chlorine to the pool.

Winterlong can be used on both chlorinated and brominated pools but should not be used on pools using Revacil/Baquacil.

DIRECTIONS FOR WINTER CLOSE DOWN OF YOUR POOL

  1. Increase the chlorine level in your pool to approximately 6ppm(parts per million).
  2. Adjust pH to 7.2-7.6.
  3. Pour the required amount of Winterlong directly over the water inlets and leave filter plant running for 8 hours to ensure even distribution.
  4. Check your pool in January and increase chlorine level to 6ppm

First Aid Measures

  • Contact with eyes
    • If substance has got into eyes, immediately wash out with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes
    • Irrigate eyes thoroughly whilst lifting eyelids
    • Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing
    • Get immediate medical advice/attention
  • Contact with skin
    • After contact with skin, take off immediately all contaminated clothing, and wash immediately with plenty of water
    • If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention
    • Contaminated clothing should be laundered before reuse
  • Inhalation
    • Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing
    • If breathing is difficult, oxygen should be given by a trained person
    • Get medical advice/attention
  • Ingestion
    • Rinse mouth with water (do not swallow)
    • Give plenty of water to drink
    • Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person
